INPS Internal Developer Platform: Extra Red and Red Hat for an Innovative Cloud Experience
The National Institute of Social Security (INPS) has recently taken a significant step forward in its digital transformation by collaborating with Extra Red, part of the Engineering Group, to develop an internal platform dedicated to developers. This initiative aims to optimize application development and deployment processes while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation within the organization.
Project Objectives
The main goal of the project is to provide INPS developers with simplified, centralized access to the tools they need for their daily work. Through a unified platform, based on the Red Hat Developer Hub, developers are guided towards best practices and can use pre-configured templates to standardize the development and deployment of applications. This approach facilitates integration with the institute’s shared services, enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Implemented Solutions
The implemented solution features a platform that offers:
-
Quick Access to Documentation: Developers can easily and efficiently consult documentation, reducing search times and increasing productivity.
-
Familiar and Intuitive Technological Environment: The user-friendly interface ensures an optimal user experience and reduces the learning curve.
-
Pre-configured Templates: The use of standardized templates simplifies application development and deployment, ensuring consistency and quality in the code produced.
Achieved Results
Thanks to this collaboration, INPS has achieved:
-
Improved Operational Efficiency: The standardization of processes has led to reduced development times and greater consistency in applications.
-
Promotion of Collaboration: The platform fosters a culture of collaboration among development teams, encouraging knowledge sharing and best practices.
-
Facilitation of Innovation: With simplified access to tools and resources, developers are able to experiment and implement new solutions more agilely.
This project represents a significant example of how collaboration between public institutions and technology partners can lead to innovative solutions, improving services for citizens and optimizing internal operations.
